Welcome class of 2022 to Freshman Physics at Grant.
The NGSS Physics class is Grant High School’s physics course for 9th graders. It covers the physics, engineering, and some of the earth science standards from the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). It will challenge students to develop their critical thinking skills, their expectations for evidence-based claims, and their use of spreadsheets as well as teaching them basic physics concepts and how they’re applied in the world. It will prepare them for chemistry their sophomore year and future physics classes their junior and senior years if they want. The algebra the students use will either complement the algebra they’re learning in their algebra class, or review basic concepts if they’re in a more advanced class.
This blog should allow you to keep up to date with upcoming goals and deadlines in Mr. Medley's freshman physics class. It will be updated most weeks.
